Additionally, a one-time registration fee of 3% of the total property value is paid before the handover of keys upon completion of construction. The Aida project offers a wide range of payment options for purchasing property. While cash payments are accepted, it’s important to note that the maximum amount allowed is 4,000 OMR. In addition, bank transfers and secure online payments via credit cards are available. The project also accepts manager’s cheques and digital currencies. It is especially emphasized that all payments must be made directly to the developer, without involving intermediaries such as real estate agents.
When funds are transferred to the construction company, the money is directed to a dedicated escrow account managed by a financial institution. This ensures the security of the funds until the project is completed. Oman has strict regulations and procedures in place to safeguard investor contributions. Investors are not required to open a bank account or take any additional steps, as the construction company handles all necessary formalities on their behalf.
In Oman, there is absolutely no room for deviation from established regulations. All construction companies in the Sultanate are required to adhere to a standardized contract template for property purchases, and any modifications to this document are not permitted.
